The Parliament of Ghana, through the Department of Public Engagement in collaboration with ACEPA and UNICEF, and in partnership with JoyPrime, hosted the maiden edition of MINI Parliament.
MINI Parliament is a practical, tailor-made initiative that gives young people a platform to express their perspectives on issues that affect them. It also helps deepen their understanding of how Parliament works by allowing them to take on the roles of Members of Parliament. During the session, the children debated the topic: “Responsible Use of Technology by Children.”
Speakers includ the Parliamentary Select Committee Chairperson on Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Helen Ntosu, Vice Chair of the Education Committee, Hon. Joseph Kwame Kumah, Dr Rasheed Draman (ACEPA), Pauliina Sarvilahti (UNICEF), Public Affairs Divisional Head, Ms Kate Addo, Naa Manye Badu Adiagba l, and Cyber Security Authority's Jael Amponsah Bempah, who shared perspectives and inspired young participants to use technological platforms ethically.
The Parliament of Ghana is proud of every child of the Learning Tree Foundation, who took part in the maiden sitting of the MINI Parliament Chamber Series.
