The Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin received a delegation of His Majesty Naa Seidu Fuseini Pelpuo iv, overlord of the Wala State. The delegation which included five paramount chiefs was led by Naa Ali Seidu Pelpuo, Paramount Chief Busa Traditional Area. He expressed his Majesty’s appreciation and gratitude to Mr. Speaker for attending the 2025 Dumba Festival. He indicated that, his wise counsel, uplifting words and engagement left a lasting impression on all who gathered at the palace grounds that day. He added that Mr. Speaker’s gesture to construct a state -of -the art conference hall at the palace goes beyond infrastructure, to them, it is symbol of honour, a demonstration of respect for traditional authority and a testament of his enduring commitment to the cultural heritage of the Wala State. His Majesty also commended Speaker Bagbin for his role in instituting the first-ever Upper West Regional Flag which has ignited a renewed sense of belonging, dignity and regional pride. Speaker Bagbin in welcoming the delegation, assured them of his continuous support in ensuring the upliftment and growth of his people in the Wala State and the Upper West as a whole. He added that,work will soon commence on the hall project at the palace as well as the renovation and rehabilitation of the Upper West Regional House of Chiefs.
