EDUCATION MINISTER TO PRESENT DETAILS OF FREE SHS PROGRAMME TO PARLIAMENT
The Minister for Education, Hon. Mattew Opoku Prempeh will on Tuesday the 7th of November, 2017 present the full details of the Free SHS Programme that began in September 2017 to Parliament.
The New Patriotic Party, during the 2016 election, campaigned on the Flagship Programme of Free SHS when voted into power. In September, the free SHS Programme was launched at the West Africa Senior High School in Accra and fully taken into action. Currently, all first year students who passed the Basic Education Certificate Examination and in government schools are beneficiaries of the Free Senior High School Programme.
The Minister, will on that same day, answer questions about when his Ministry will employ the Twenty Two Thousand teaching and non-teaching personnel approved by the Ministry of Finance in 2016 to fill the numerous vacancies in the first and second cycle institutions.
