The Committee on Public Administration and State Interest, comprised of a Chairperson, Ranking Member, Vice Chairperson, Deputy Ranking Member, and up to thirteen other Members, oversees matters concerning state interest and public administration. Its jurisdiction includes investigating and inquiring into the activities of the State Interest and Governance Authority and its agencies, the Public Services Commission, the Office of the Head of Civil Service, the National Identification Authority, the Scholarship Secretariat, the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre, and other agencies under the Office of Government Machinery. This includes examining the reports and accounts of public enterprises to ensure sound business practices and analyzing the financial statements of public corporations and semi-autonomous bodies. Furthermore, the Committee considers matters related to the protection of public officers as outlined in Chapter Fourteen of the Constitution while fulfilling its duties.
