The Parliamentary Committee on Economy and Development, consisting of a Chairperson, Ranking Member, Vice Chairperson, Deputy Ranking Member, and up to thirteen other Members, oversees economic and development planning matters. Its jurisdiction encompasses investigating ministries, departments, and agencies within its purview, including the National Development Planning Commission, Development Authorities, and the Bank of Ghana's economic development mandate. The Committee's responsibilities include fostering dialogue on development challenges, monitoring progress on national development targets, collaborating in national development plan formulation, monitoring government's economic and social development policy, and collaborating to protect the environment. It reports to the House at least twice annually.
